Many years ago, a prominent pastor I know gave a “red letter edition” of the Bible to a friend with the instructions to read “only the words printed in red”.
A few weeks later, the friend came back and met up with the pastor. The friend had read the words that were printed in red and had a whole new outlook on life, his faith and Christ.
You see, those words, printed in red, are the recorded words spoken by Jesus Christ, Himself.
I’ve been moved by the Holy Spirit to share, from time to time, Christ’s words in a series of, what I’m calling, “Red Letter Memes”.
These words, on this particular meme, from Matthew 5:3-10, are the famous “Beattitudes” which begin Christ’s, “Sermon on the Mount” – the best sermon ever preached by the best “Preacher” to walk this earth.
