Loving and most merciful Father, on this day when our nation pauses to reflect, remember and give thanks, we thank You!
We give thanks for the love, the mercy, the grace, the forgiveness and the many blessings You have given us.
We give thanks for family, for friends, for prayers that have been answered and for prayers that are yet to be answered.
And, we give thanks for Your only Son whose birth we are about to begin celebrating as we enter into the coming season of Advent.
We give thanks for Christ’s life, for His death and His resurrection – for it is through His birth, life, death and resurrection that we know we serve a living God who loves us so much He wants to spend eternity with us.
We know, because of the resurrection, we too have the opportunity of being resurrected and experiencing eternal life with You.
Thank You, O God, for all things.
In the name of Him whose birth we are about to celebrate, Jesus Christ, we give thanks and pray. Amen.
