Eternal Rewards

Did you win?

Many of us took a chance and played Powerball – hoping for a piece of $1.4 billion. Admittedly, myself included.

Hey, I may be dumb but I’m not a fool.

Or, is it, I may be foolish but I’m not dumb?

In any case, there’s no doubt we had visions of what we’d do if we won.

Perhaps we thought, “if I could win – even a piece of it – that would solve everything!”.

Most certainly, we could pay off bills, our student loans, our mortgages and the like. With that amount of money, we could help others too! I had visions of feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, helping heal the injured and sick and, of course, bringing my friends to the U.S. to perform for us. ☺ What a treat that would be!

Music heals a lot of hurts.

Yet, most of us woke to the news, this morning, there were no winners in last nights drawing. Bummer.

Life goes on.

But, what if I told you that, right now, there’s a type of lottery going on where the jackpot is much larger than anyone can wrap their minds around? Yet, in this lottery, everyone who plays it wins eternal rewards? And, it could solve your problems?

In a few short weeks, we’ll be entering a season called, “Advent”. I like to think of “advent” as being short for “adventure”. It’s a journey, a trip, a time for adventuring into the unknown with the destination being a town called Bethlehem. And, the main event being the birth of a King.

You might have heard this story.

Or, perhaps you haven’t.

Either way, I challenge you to “take a risk”, to take a “gamble”, and relive it like never before. Why?

Because the jackpot is greater than any on earth will ever be, the rewards last for eternity and – the best part? – you cannot lose.

Yes, accepting and following Christ is risky. It means when times are tough, you’re not alone. It means when people dessert you, you have One who loves you unconditionally.

It means you might have to let go and let God deal with the problems. It means spending eternal life with the Creator – and the One who shed His blood for you. And, so much more.

Ready to “play”?

What if I told you, its not going to cost you a penny – the price has already been paid for you?
