He Hasn’t Given up on Us
A word that came to me during morning prayers: “While I may have given up, God has not given up on me”.
How profound is that? That the Creator and Sustainer, the Lord who died, was resurrected and is seated at the right hand of the Father, has NOT given up on “us”!
Did you wake up this morning?
Are you reading this right now?
The prophet Jeremiah, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. ” –Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV..
Read that last part again, “… to give you a future and a hope”.
Those are not the words of a God who has given up on us. Rather, those are the words of a God who loves us, cares for us, believes in us so much so that He what? He gives us a “future and a hope”.
God woke you up this morning.
That, in and of itself, is enough to know He hasn’t given up on you.
Jeremiah continues, “Then you will call upon Me [the Lord] and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” –Jeremiah 29:12-13.
While I might have given up, God hasn’t given up on me.
And, He hasn’t given up on you either.
